Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] (“IFVENT,” “we,” “us”) governing your access to and use of the IFVENT website at ifvent.xyz, our apps and related features (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The service

IFVENT lets people discover events and see first-hand, community-reported information (such as crowd, wait time and atmosphere), check in with “I’m Here,” and share posts and photos. The Service is currently a prototype: events, venues, users, posts and balances shown may be fictional demo content, and features may change, pause or be discontinued at any time.

3. Eligibility & accounts

  • You must be at least [13/16/18] years old, or the age of digital consent in your country. Some events are age-restricted; you are responsible for complying with those limits.
  • If you create an account, you must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • Do not impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation with an event, venue or organizer.

4. User content

“User Content” means posts, signals, photos, replies, reactions, event listings and anything else you submit. You keep ownership of your User Content, but you grant IFVENT a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, display, adapt and distribute it in connection with operating, promoting and improving the Service.

You represent that you have the rights to post your User Content and that it does not violate any law or third-party right (including the privacy and image rights of people appearing in photos). We may remove or restrict any content at our discretion, but we have no obligation to monitor it.

5. Check-ins & location

Check-ins and “At Event” labels indicate that a user reported being at an event; they are not a guarantee of presence or accuracy. If you enable location features, you consent to our use of your device location as described in our Privacy Policy. Do not use the Service while driving or in any way that endangers yourself or others.

6. Event information & community signals

Event details come from organizers, licensed or authorized sources, and community reports. Live signals (crowd, wait, atmosphere, availability, “community activity”) reflect volume and opinions of users, are not verified facts, and may be late, incomplete or wrong. Always confirm details with the organizer or venue. IFVENT does not organize, sponsor or endorse listed events unless stated, and is not responsible for any event, its safety, cancellation, pricing or admission decisions.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • post false, misleading, defamatory, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit or illegal content;
  • submit fake check-ins, fake signals or coordinated reviews to manipulate rankings or rewards;
  • scrape, crawl or copy the Service, or bypass security or rate limits;
  • upload malware, or interfere with the Service or other users;
  • photograph or record people in places or ways that violate their privacy or the venue’s rules;
  • use the Service to promote scams, spam or unlawful activity.

8. Organizers

If you submit an event, you confirm you are authorized to do so and that all details are accurate and lawful. You are solely responsible for your event, including permits, safety, insurance, age restrictions, ticketing, refunds and compliance with applicable laws.

9. IF Token & demo points

IF Token is in development. No token has been issued, sold or made tradable. The “IF” balance, “+ IF” rewards and wallet connection shown on the Service are simulated demonstrations with no monetary value, and are not securities, investments, currency or promises of future value or rewards. Nothing on the Service is financial, legal or tax advice. Plans, dates and features may change or never launch, and any future token or rewards program will be subject to separate terms, eligibility rules, and applicable law. IFVENT will never ask for your seed phrase or private keys.

10. Merch & purchases

Merch pages are currently a showcase. If and when purchases are enabled, additional terms covering pricing, taxes, shipping, returns and exchanges, limited-run and “Vault” item rules will apply at checkout. Item availability, designs and prices may change without notice.

11. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, text, graphics, logos, software and the IFVENT name and marks, is owned by IFVENT or its licensors and protected by law. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. If you believe content infringes your copyright, send a notice with the required details to the contact address below and we will review it.

12. Third-party services

The Service may link to or integrate third-party sites, data providers, maps, wallets and payment or ticketing services. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices. Your use of them is subject to their own terms.

13. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that information is accurate or current. Attending events involves risk; you do so at your own discretion.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, IFVENT and its owners, affiliates and personnel are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service or attendance at any event. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of $[100] or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

15. Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify IFVENT against claims, damages and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your User Content, your events, your violation of these Terms or applicable law, or your violation of another person’s rights.

16. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, including for violating these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by nature should survive termination (including content license, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity and governing law) will survive.

17. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of [STATE/COUNTRY], without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
